Welcome to Off the Hook.
I hope you can find something to tickle your fancy!
Browse through our categories to find the special things that make your heart sing! We have dazzling earrings, necklaces that sizzle, and bracelets with pizzazz.
Our beguiling bookmarks are unique and truly eyecatching. A great side-dish gift to give when you present someone with a book, and wonderful on their own as a lovely gift which will be very appreciated.
How about including a bookmark when you return a borrowed book to a friend? They'll be pleasantly surprised and remember your thoughtfulness fondly.
Jumping over to the other side of what I do, take a look at all the luscious legwarmers I have knitted for the dancer in your life. These are made with dancers in mind, but can be worn by anyone who needs to warm their legs!
They have an opening for the heel to go through so part of the legwarmer coccoons the foot in yummy warmth. That's how dancers wear their legwarmers! You have the option of wearing them scrunched up fully on the leg or using their extra length to cradle your foot as well.
Off the Hook is an apt name for what I do. My bookmarks are shaped like shepherd's hooks and the gemstones, beads and charms I attach to them dangle off the hook end! All my earrings hang off fishhooks or other earring findings.
My legwarmers are all hand-knitted, but the last thing I do is crochet the seams together. So, when the finished legwarmer comes off the hook - the crochet hook! - they are ready to wear!
Many of my scarves are finished with a crocheted border, so when I've completed the border, the scarf comes off the hook and is ready to wrap around your neck and keep you warm in the wintry air.
With an array of beautiful items to choose from I'm sure you'll be happy with your selections.
Poke around the site and if you have any comments or questions please feel free to contact me.
I hope you discover something that speaks to you and arouses your aesthetic sense!
Check back often for updates. There's much more to come!
Hugs off the hook,
Marga
